There's a birthday field in contacts.... why doesn't it show as an All Day Event in Calendar? Preferably with some preference for how soon to give you a reminder.
I liked the Infrared Port on the old Palms. You could "Beam Contacts" to others. You could Remote Control your TV and other Devices that use IR. Why not bring back the IR functionality to the Palm Pre.
The Next Palm Pre Device should allow for a Micro SD card slot to add more memory and for backup. It should also allow for Encryption. If we remove our Micro SD Card from the Pre, it will still work, but all our Contacts and private information can be removed with it so that if we give our phone to someone they don't have our private information. Also if our phone is stolen, the SD Card can't be read without the Phone PIN.
When I search for Contacts, I want to search by nickname, address, other info including notes, etc. The Contacts Search is limited to the Name field it seems. How can I search for Business and Nicknames in my contacts unless you expand the Search Feature to allow me to do that. Also, it is difficult to scroll through the hundreds of contacts i have to get to what I want, so any speed up of the search filter will be helpful.
We need a Mobile TouchStone Device for the Car. Can you build one for the Car Charger?
Voice Recorder Only for Quick Memos Needed. I like the Video Recorder, but that takes up too much space on the PRE. We need a Seperate VOICE Recorder Application that will allow us to record Memos, Lectures (Compress to MP3) and to have Lists of Voice Recordings with Titles and sorted by Date, etc.
I want to Email my Voice Recordings and be able to upload them to Google Voice for Transcription by Google Voice Transcription Features. I should be able to SMS voice.
I am a Sprint Customer, so I want VOICE Dailing also. Why can't I speak the Name of my Contacts and have it Pop Up to Dial. "Dial Mom"? Where is that? It doesn't seem to be a feature yet.
Please do more with VOICE Recording and Voice Recognition. Thanks.
I compined the Pixi and Pre and created this. Hope you guys like!
A targeted venue for many companies, media, and advertising industries, a collaborative web-based treasure (information browsing) hunt, the catch is the targetted contestants will be unaware of the specified contest or its existence, giving who ever wants to become part of the prize providers, a chance to initiate marketing ploys, and advertising, as well as it would establish an analytical research of the human psyche. It has an endless amount of possibilities

I think instead of hacking apple, they could make their own media player that is capable for all phones and other electronics such as PSP, IPod, Zune and other MP3 players as well. I created a design for it and even how the store should look I'm still working on it and will add more pics soon hope you guys like it.

Allow the users to specify a time before a lock code is required to unlock. Currently, if your Pre is set to require a Simple PIN or Password on unlock, if your device goes to sleep and you wake it up 5 seconds later, a PIN or Password is required. Would be great to be able to specify separate sleep and lock times. As an example, sleep after 1 minute, require PIN after 10 minutes.
Email messages are not actually purged from the iMap inbox when they are deleted. This should make it possible to offer an undelete function.
Photos supports uploads to Facebook and Photobucket. I'd also like to see Flickr or Picasa.
A native remember the milk app that will save locally and sync later if it ever goes offline. A lot like their iPhone app only with better auto synching when online because the Pre is awesome at that.
I would really like to see the Urbanspoon application, for the Palm Pre. This would use the GPS to show restaurants around your current location.
the palm pre should be the first mobile device with an awesome native google wave client. Like a mail client it can inform you about ongoing/new conversation non intrusive and in a nice way.
I know, its a small thing, but it'd be really useful to know how many character's I've typed into a text message.

All of the contacts on the Pre are currently jumbled together. It would be preferable to add category tags such as "Personal" or "Business" or "Archival" and give the user the option to default to a category to display.
When you go back to an MP3, it starts over from the beginning each time. This is problematic when listening to long podcasts. This is further complicated by the fact that you only have the ability to skip forward and back by tiny increments. Ideally the Pre would store the last point that you were listening to an MP3. Another way to address this issue is to integrate a "scroll bar" to allow you to jump to a specific time in the MP3.
Developers apps can tell when
- the device is on a touchstone
- the device is charging
- the device is not charging
- the device has less than 50% battery

This would allow apps to slow down resource consumption when the battery dips below 50%, allow the apps to use as much as it wants when charging, and off special stuff if it is on a touchstone.
We you start adding lots of apps it because more difficult to get to them.

I want to be able to make more pages or can I have a list mode like on Palm OS?
The App Catalog needs an option to show installed apps that have updates available (like Apple's App Store has now).
All alert types should be controllable from one location. Right now, if I want to turn off audible e-mail alerts, but leave messaging alerts and the ringer audible, I have to go into the e-mail app menu, select the account, and turn off alerts from there. If I want to turn off e-mail alerts and messaging alerts while leaving the ringer on, then I have to go to the messaging app menu in addition to the e-mail app menu. These should all be individually controllable from the "Sounds & Ringtones" app.
Pre should support mono developement. specifically, the moonlight mono/silverlight plugin.
