The Pre should be able to create and join ad-hoc wifi networks.
We need other messaging standards for the Palm Pre messaging app.
-Jabber/XMPP
-IRC [used in many corporations]
-Yahoo
-MSN
-Facebook chat
We need SSH on the Pre, with keys. SSH enables a variety terminal applications including IRC, and remote administration. Additionally, that grants the Pre the ability to administer my desktop at home.
WebOS should be able to pair with devices over bluetooth that are not headsets. For example, it should be able to pair with laptop computers without the laptop initiating the pairing connection.
The Palm Pre should allow tethering. This should be allowed over Bluetooth, WiFi, and USB. In WiFi mode the Pre should make its own ad-hoc network, and run a dhcp server with NAT.

Well, an SDK that can utilize Linux directly would be nice. Additionally being able to use an X server instead of rendering via webkit would enable the creation of complex applications.
